Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Couldn’t Grow Into A Party: Mira Sethi

Actress and model Mira Sethi has said that the problem with Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is that “it could not grow from a movement in to a party.

In an informal conversation with Javeria Abbasi , Sethi maintained that she remembers that the party’s 2012 rally was a huge success and everyone welcomed them as a new political force but the movement couldn’t grow into a party.

Mira, whose father Najam Sethi was recently called ‘Phateechar’ (useless) by Imran Khan, however, termed PTI’s entry into politics a positive sign for democracy in the country.

“I may have any personal differences with him (Imran Khan), but he has established a third party in Pakistan, which is great for the country as the party smashed the two party system,” explained Mira, adding that the increase in number of people joining politics is a positive sign for democracy in Pakistan.

When asked about her interest in cricket (her father heads PSL), Mira revealed that she used to play the game as a kid but right now she doesn’t follow cricket.

“I only like Misbah-ul-Haq, he is so classy and has so much grace (that I like him),” said Sethi.
