Nescafé Basement 4 Goes on-air!
#NescafeBasement4 kicked off with the release of its first episode last week to unanimous acclaim and is now all set to air the second episode.
Nescafe Basement is back again with its fourth season! A delightful musical experience where some of Pakistan’s most talented musicians come together to experiment and perform chartbusters, the latest season of the show aims to captivate audiences once more and explore a spectrum of musical genres. #NescafeBasement4 kicked off with the release of its first episode last week to unanimous acclaim and is now all set to air the second episode.

Nescafe Basement has found itself a large audience since it went on-air four years ago. Music lovers have appreciated the raw energy and bold experimental sounds the show has been consistently showcasing while the talented musicians who have been discovered through this platform have received several opportunities in the music industry.

The first episode of #NescafeBasement4 featured two covers: Tere Jeya Hor Disda, originally by Nustrat Fateh Ali Khan, retaining its classical aura with the fusion of tabla and harmonium with contemporary instruments such as the violin, guitar, bass and drums. The song features Zeeshan Ali on vocals, Misbah and Sherry on guitars, Asif and Zain on tabla, Asad on harmonium, Sharoon on violin, Haider on bass and Bilawal on drums.

Jadu ka Chiragh, originally by Awaz, takes a trip down memory lane by featuring the iconic rap verses and vocals performed by Shahmir with a modern rock touch. The track features instrumentalists Bilawal, Omair, Sherry, Nazar, Abdullah, Kashif and Zubair.

The second episode of #NescafeBasement4 is an illustration of the amalgamation of contemporary instruments in an attempt to take on the eastern classical style of music and comprises of one original and one cover song. Kameez Teri Kali, originally by folk legend Ataullah Esakhelvi, is a modern interpretation of the classic folk song. The song has Mehak Ali on vocals, Yusuf Ramay on drums, Farhan Ali on bass, Misbah and Sherry on guitars, Arsalan on keyboards, Asif Amin on tabla, Sharoon on violin

and Nazar on flute.

Tu Mera Naheen, an original by Rizwan Anwar, is a violin and orchestra driven track with Rizwan on vocals, Sharoon on violin, Haroon on acoustic guitars, Sherry on electric guitars, Asif Amin on tabla, Omair on bass and Bilawal on drums.
