The aura inside the marquee hall lit by fluorescent blue lights at the Pearl Continental Karachi on 2Zth of September was celebratory. Guests from all walks of life, including the notable media personalities, tech-savvy individuals and business executives, came together with only one purpose in mind – to celebrate the new milestone set by Zong.
Ravishing Juggan Kazim and eminent Faizan Haque, not only proved to be the brilliant hosts for the evening but also kept the audiences engaged and entertained by their witty remarks.
Sonu Dangerous took the stage with his enthralling dance performance, followed by a fashion show showcasing Pakistani fashion veterans. The models made a slow and stealthy metamorphosis from Deepak Perwani’s sequined short shorts, and lighted jackets to flimsy tie-dye chiffon tunics for Maheen Karim.
Sadaf Malaterre’s sultry cocktail dresses with bead and sequin work took the ramp next, followed in suit by Faraz Manan’s bespoke swoop-back pleated twill and glamorized shirt waists. And while Sania Maskatiya’s silhouettes made a perfect transition from preppy trousers to pantaloons, Sana Safinaz showcased light-catching sheets of backless satin gowns and mesmerized the crowds. The fashion segment ended with Shela Chatoor’s gold-rush and Ayesha Haswani’s dresses in punchy hues with a sole purpose to set the thrill again.
The Zong 4Glte launch was a perfect display of classic silhouettes in a technologically savvy environment which continued with a sit-in dinner, followed by a live performance by music’s most notable band, RDB who flew all the way from UK for the launch and surely got the audience on its feet.
