” Another heavy one from Nescafe Basement! When Adnan and Rabi came to me a few years back with this song, we had completely different ideas about it. I wished for a more impactful version of this song which supports its amazingly written lyrics, the most powerful I have heard in a long time. At that time, that version couldn’t happen, but at the Basement, everything changed, for the better! While arranging this new version for the Nescafe Basement, I knew that I have to not take the original bits of music away from the song, so Rabi’s original riff for the song remains the intro riff for this version as well. Moreover, everyone realised the high impact rock sound suited this song more. Mansoor Lashari, Haider Abbas and Shahrukh Aslam were very comfortable playing this as this modified sound suited their style the best too, hence they easily contributed with some great high impact playing. Hamza I. Butt, also contributes with the keys and that atmospheric sound you will hear throughout the song. Asfar Hussain, Turaab Khan, Abeir, Fawad Hassan Zaidi & Adrian David Emmanuel complete the lineup for the song. As was the case with Hamesha, here too, the flow of the songs started coming naturally to us, and the whole jamming thing became a LOT of fun! This song is like a journey, a very visual one, and the intro with the atmospheric keys and the flute is a prelude to what is about to be told through the lyrics. The sadness and depth represents the mood before the song perfectly, and the aggression later on sets the tone for the grand finale of the song. Listen to this song guys.
