XXI (21) is an underground band that features a versatile trio of talented individuals who are not only unique as a group but also masters of sound individually. XXI (21) comprises of Moheet ul Islam and Mohammad Taimoor on Guitars with Yahya Farid on Vocals. The three band members are well respected for their work with the official LUMS Flood Relief Song which was done in collaboration with Taimur Rehman of Laal and Ali Hamza of Noori . All three band members are students of the prestigious Lahore University of Management Sciences [LUMS].
The inspiration behind the music of the three talents is mined from the common yet diverse musical outputs of Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Nirvana, U2 The Beatles, Noori , Salman Ahmad, Porcupine Tree Jack white White, Alter Bridge and Mark Tremonty . On the Ufone Uth Records 2.0 platform, the band has the unique opportunity to display its own talent to its fullest potential. Indeed the band have high expectations from Ufone Uth Records 2.0.by virtue of the fact that XXI (21) are big fans of Louis J Pinto aka Gumby.
XXI (21) will be performing their own composition “Taare” on Ufone Uth Records 2.0 with musician Ahad Nayani featuring as a guest drummer on the track. The song has been inspired by those who define and weigh love and relationships on material gains in this material world and indeed the message of their song suggests that feelings and emotions should be strong enough to break away from material gains on the track. In the near future, XXI (21) hope’s to see its music ‘making silence die with its noise.’
