میری روح کی گہرائیوں میں سرگوشیاں ہیں
meri rooh ki gahraaiyon men sargoshiyaan hain
in the depths of my soul are whispers
خواہشوں میں عارضی یہ خاموشیاں ہیں
khwaahishon men, ‘aarizi yih khaamoshiyaan hain
in desires, inadvertent are these silences
ساز ہے، رقص تال ہے زندگی
saaz hai, raqs taal hai zindagi
harmony, dance and melody is life
راز یہ کوئی پائے گا کبھی
raaz yih koi paae ga kabhi
at this secret, will someone ever arrive?
کچھ ہے جو ملا ہی نہیں اب تک
kuch hai jo mila hi naheen ab tak
there’s something which has not yet been unearthed
جستجو، آرزو کا سلسلہ ہے اب تک
just-o-ju, aarazu ka silsilah hai ab tak
pursuit and desire is the sequence that still persists
خوشیوں کے اپنے اندیشے، اپنے اندازے
khushiyon ke apne andeshe apne andaaze
about happiness, we each have our doubts, our guesses
چہرے کی روشنی کو پل میں غم گہنا دے
